Stay safe while you wait
Get yourself and any passengers out of the car on the side away from the traffic, and wait somewhere safe, away from the vehicle. Put your hazard lights on before you get out.
Then call us or send your location on WhatsApp. Our driver rings with updates on the way, so you can stay somewhere safe until the van pulls up. In our core area we're usually with you in 30 to 60 minutes; further out, we tell you the real time when you call.
Roadside tyre fitting: what happens when we arrive
We fit the tyre where the car has stopped, so you don't need a recovery truck to take it to a tyre shop. We bring the tyre shop to you.
Tell us your tyre size, or send a photo of the sidewall, and whether you have the locking wheel nut key (a lost locking wheel nut key is a job we take on). You get a price and an arrival time before we leave, and we can get any tyre in any brand and size. If the photo shows a repairable puncture, we repair it instead, the same way as our mobile puncture repair. Starting prices are on our cost guide.
- We help find the locking wheel nut key if it's in the car.
- The car is jacked with the handbrake on, and the wheel comes off and gets checked for other damage.
- In the van, we repair the puncture or fit and inflate the new tyre.
- The wheel goes back on, torqued to the manufacturer's figure, and we reset the tyre pressure sensors (TPMS) with you.
- You pay the driver and carry on with your journey.
Motorway tyre fitting
We fit tyres on the hard shoulder. We cover the M25, M20, M26, M23, M2, M3, M4, M27, M271, M275 and A3(M), and some of our emergency mobile tyre fitting calls arrive as a WhatsApp message from the motorway in the middle of the night.
When you call, tell us which motorway you're on, which way you were heading and the nearest junction or marker post, so the driver can find you. The motorway call-out is from £120, plus the tyre. We never balance wheels on a motorway or dual carriageway, or at the roadside in an emergency: you book the balancing for a time that suits you, somewhere safe.

Check who you're calling

How much does roadside tyre repair cost?
From £120 for the roadside or motorway call-out, plus the tyre if you need a new one. You get the exact price before we set off.
Do you come out to the motorway?
Yes. We fit tyres on the hard shoulder of the M25, M20, M26, M23, M2, M3, M4, M27, M271, M275 and A3(M). Get out on the side away from traffic, wait behind the barrier and call us with your location; we never balance wheels on a motorway or dual carriageway.
Can you repair a puncture at the roadside?
Often, yes, if the photo you send shows it's repairable: we take the tyre off in the van and repair it from the inside to BS AU159. If it can't be repaired, we fit a new tyre instead.
Do I need a recovery truck for a flat tyre?
Not for the tyre itself. JL Mobile Tyres fits the new tyre or repairs the puncture where the car has stopped, so you drive away instead of being towed to a tyre shop.
How long will I wait at the roadside?
