Who we are
JL stands for Jan and Liam. Jan is a qualified mechanic. Liam has always loved cars. JL Mobile Tyres grew out of those two things: Jan's mechanical experience and Liam's passion for cars.
We both own the business and we both do the jobs. Plenty of our Google reviews name one of us.
Why we started
Everything else gets brought to you now, so we decided tyres should be too. In Liam's words: “In the age of bringing the service to the customer we decided to start mobile tyre fitting and to help people in emergency situations or who simply don’t need the interruption to their day of visiting a tyre shop.”
Without a mobile fitter, a flat usually means a recovery truck to a tyre shop. That's the job as we see it: giving people their day back.
How we work
Our view of the trade is blunt: a lot of tyre fitters lie about their arrival time to win the job. We'd rather tell you the real one, even when it isn't what you want to hear.
- An honest arrival time. In our core area we're usually with you in 30 to 60 minutes. Further out, we tell you the real time when you call.
- The price before we set off. You agree it on the phone or WhatsApp, and you pay the driver at the car when the job's done, by card, cash or bank transfer.
- A call on the way. The driver rings with updates, so you know how far off we are.
- Prestige cars. We give a premium service on vehicles of high value, the cars a lot of garages refuse because they're too costly to risk damaging.
- Locking wheel nuts. Rounded nuts, snapped keys and lost keys are jobs plenty of fitters won't touch. We start with a non-destructive method and ask you before anything destructive.
- Done properly. Every wheel is torqued to the manufacturer's figure and we reset the tyre pressure sensors with you. Punctures are repaired from the inside to BS AU159, and the same puncture is re-fixed free for 3 months.

We run two vans out of Bromley, day and night, 7 days a week. We're a mobile business with no shop or garage to visit: we come to you, at the roadside, at home or at work.

What we won't do
These are the jobs and the promises we turn down.
- Take a job more than 2 hours away, unless you can't find anyone else.
- Fit tyres on lorries over 7.5 tonnes.
- Repair a run-flat tyre. It isn't generally advised, so we fit a new one.
- Promise an arrival time we can't keep, just to win the job.
- Balance wheels on a motorway or a dual carriageway.
- Promise a puncture repair before we've seen it. Not every puncture can be repaired, so we ask for a photo first.

Before you book any mobile fitter, check you're dealing with the actual business and not a network that passes your job on. With us, the number on this site is the number on our vans, and the van that turns up is ours.
