2. Definitions

In these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") the following expressions have the following meanings:

  • Customer / You / Your: the person who requests or receives the Services.

  • Services: the mobile tyre fitting, puncture repairs, tyre replacement, wheel balancing, locking wheel nut removal, motorway services, fuel delivery, jump-starting, emergency EV charging and any other roadside services provided by us.

  • Service Location: the address or roadside location where Services are to be performed.

  • Quote: an estimated price provided by us for the Services prior to commencement.

  • Contract: the contract between us and you for the supply of Services, formed when we accept your Booking.

  • Booking: your request for Services via telephone, online booking form, email or other accepted channel.

3. Scope of Services

3.1 We supply mobile tyre and roadside services as agreed at the time of Booking. Services may include (but are not limited to): on-site tyre replacement, puncture repair, tyre fitting, wheel balancing, locking wheel nut removal, fuel delivery, jump starts, emergency EV charging and motorway callouts.

3.2 We will use reasonable skill and care in providing Services but will not be able to guarantee the availability of any specific tyre make/model unless expressly agreed in writing.

3.3 Where Services cannot safely be completed at the Service Location (for example due to traffic, unsafe location, or access restrictions), we will discuss alternatives with you such as moving the vehicle to a safer location, arranging recovery, or completing work at a later time.

4. Bookings, Quotation & Acceptance

4.1 Bookings may be made by telephone, online booking form, WhatsApp or email. All Bookings are subject to availability.

4.2 We will provide either a verbal quote or a written Quote. A Quote is an estimate only and may be subject to change if additional work is required or if the information provided at the time of Booking was inaccurate.

4.3 The Contract is formed when we confirm acceptance of your Booking (by phone, email, SMS or WhatsApp) and you provide any required payment/authorisation in accordance with our payment procedures.

4.4 Any special requirements or instructions (for example, a specific tyre brand) must be made clear at the time of Booking. If a requested tyre cannot reasonably be supplied within a timescale acceptable to you, we will advise alternative options.

5. Arrival Times & Response

5.1 We aim to respond and attend within the estimated arrival window given at Booking. Typical response times are 30–60 minutes depending on traffic, technician location, time of day and weather.

5.2 Times quoted are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We will notify you of any significant delay where possible.

6. Prices & Payment

6.1 Prices for Services are set out in our current price list, as provided on our website or by our staff at the time of Booking. Prices include labour, fitting and VAT where applicable unless otherwise stated.

6.2 A call-out / attendance charge may apply in addition to the cost of parts and tyres. Any applicable call-out charge will be confirmed at the time of Booking.

6.3 Payment is due immediately on completion of the Services unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, card payments (chip & pin/contactless) and other agreed payment methods.

6.4 If payment is not made on completion, we reserve the right to retain possession of tyres or parts supplied until payment is received in full.

6.5 If the Service requires tyres or parts to be ordered and paid for prior to fitting, you authorise us to procure those parts on your behalf and to charge you accordingly.

7. Changes, Cancellations & No-Shows

7.1 You may cancel or reschedule a Booking by contacting us as soon as possible. We request a minimum of [24 hours] notice for non-emergency, pre-booked appointments; shorter notice periods may attract a cancellation fee where our technician has already been dispatched.

7.2 For emergency call-outs, please notify us immediately if you no longer require assistance. Repeated false call-outs or cancellations with minimal notice may result in a fee.

7.3 If our technician cannot safely access the vehicle or location, or if the vehicle cannot be worked on due to reasons within your control (e.g., vehicle keys unavailable, vehicle in a locked area, obstruction), we reserve the right to charge for attendance and to treat the Booking as a no-show.

8. Customer Responsibilities & Safety

8.1 You are responsible for ensuring that the Service Location is safe and that the vehicle is reasonably accessible. Where Services are carried out roadside you must ensure the vehicle is parked in a safe location and that you and any passengers follow any safety instructions provided by our technician.

8.2 If you are on a motorway or high-speed road, you must, where safe and practicable, pull into a safe layby or emergency area and follow Highway Code guidance. If you request work to be carried out without moving to a safe location, you accept any increased risk and liability associated with such a request.

8.3 You must disclose any known damage or condition of the vehicle that may affect the performance of Services (e.g., suspension damage, recent repairs, severely corroded wheel nuts).

8.4 You must ensure the vehicle’s wheels, wheel bolts and wheel studs are in a serviceable condition prior to our attendance. We may refuse or suspend work where we consider it unsafe to proceed.

9. Motorway & High-Speed Road Callouts

9.1 Motorway callouts are inherently more hazardous. We provide motorway services where it is lawful and safe to do so and where access is permitted.

9.2 You must, where safe and possible, follow the operator’s instructions to stop in a layby or safe location; if you choose to remain in a live lane or on the hard shoulder the Service will be provided at your own risk.

9.3 We reserve the right to refuse to carry out work on a motorway or other high-speed road if we consider the location too dangerous. In such cases we will discuss alternative arrangements, such as recovery to a safe location or contacting the relevant emergency services.

10. Tyre Supply, Fitment & Part-Worn Tyres

10.1 We supply new and part-worn tyres. Where part-worn tyres are supplied, we will inform you and obtain your consent prior to fitting.

10.2 You acknowledge that part-worn tyres may have reduced tread and life expectancy compared to new tyres. Unless otherwise agreed, part-worn tyres are sold with no implicit long-term lifespan guarantee.

10.3 All tyres supplied will be visually inspected prior to fitting. We will not fit tyres that we reasonably consider to be unsafe.

10.4 Tyres may vary slightly from images shown on promotional materials. We will endeavour to supply the brand and specification requested but reserve the right to substitute an equivalent product of similar quality when the requested item is unavailable.

10.5 It is your responsibility to inform us of any manufacturer, fleet or vehicle-specific tyre requirements (for example, run-flat tyres, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) compatibility, or reinforced/XL specifications). Additional charges may apply for specialist tyres or TPMS re-initialisation.

11. Puncture Repair Policy & Warranty

11.1 Repairs will only be carried out where they are safe and legal (for example, punctures within the tread area, not on the sidewall, and meeting industry repair standards). We will not repair previously repaired tyres where we consider it unsafe.

11.2 JL Mobile Tyres provides a 3 month puncture repair warranty from the date of repair covering repair failure only (i.e., the same puncture causing loss of pressure). This warranty does not cover unrelated tyre defects or subsequent damage.

11.3 If a repaired tyre subsequently fails due to the same repair within the warranty period, we will, at our option, re-repair the tyre or supply and fit a replacement tyre. Any replacement tyre supplied may be new or part-worn and will be charged at our current rates less any previously agreed repair cost where applicable.

12. Wheel Balancing, Locking Wheel Nut Removal & Additional Services

12.1 Wheel balancing will be carried out where requested and where equipment and circumstances allow. Balancing cannot always correct vibration caused by damage to wheels, suspension or other components.

12.2 Locking wheel nut removal will be attempted where it is safe to do so. If specialist tools, replacement parts or additional time are required, extra charges will apply. We are not responsible for any damage to locking wheel nuts, wheel studs, brake components or alloy wheels that may occur during removal where the nut is seized or corroded.

12.3 Additional services (fuel delivery, jump-starting, emergency EV charging) are provided as a convenience and are subject to the operational limitations of our technicians and equipment. We do not warrant that fuel delivery or emergency charging will be successful in every instance.

13. Disposal of Tyres & Environmental Compliance

13.1 Where we remove old tyres, we will dispose of them in accordance with current waste disposal regulations. A disposal fee may be charged and will be confirmed at the time of Booking or on completion.

13.2 We will use reasonable endeavours to dispose of tyres responsibly and to provide you with a receipt or note of disposal upon request.

14. Limitations of Liability

14.1 Except as expressly set out in these Terms, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for loss or damage (including indirect or consequential loss) arising out of or in connection with the Services.

14.2 Our total liability to you for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the Services (whether in contract, tort including negligence, or otherwise) shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the specific Services giving rise to the claim.

14.3 Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

15. Insurance & Proof of Cover

15.1 JL Mobile Tyres maintains insurance cover appropriate to its operations, including public liability and motor trade insurance as required.

15.2 You may request evidence of our insurance cover by emailing JLMobileTyres@Gmail.com. We may withhold disclosure of policy numbers for security reasons but will provide sufficient proof of cover on request.

16. Complaints, Refunds & Guarantees

16.1 If you are not satisfied with the Services, please contact us as soon as possible so we can investigate and, where appropriate, remedy the problem.

16.2 Refunds or replacements are handled at our discretion and in accordance with these Terms and any applicable consumer rights. If providing a refund, we may deduct reasonable costs incurred.

16.3 Any warranty given (for example, the puncture repair warranty) is conditional on the vehicle being returned to us for inspection and compliance with the terms of the warranty.

17. Data Protection & Privacy

17.1 We will handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, a copy of which is available on our website. By booking Services you consent to the processing of your personal data for the purposes of providing Services, billing, and regulatory compliance.

17.2 We will only share personal data with third parties where necessary to provide Services (for example, parts suppliers, recovery operators) or where required by law.

18. Intellectual Property

18.1 All content on our website and materials provided by us remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing. You may not reproduce our content without our prior written consent.

19. Force Majeure

19.1 We shall not be liable for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under these Terms if such failure or delay is caused by events outside our reasonable control (including, without limitation, acts of God, adverse weather, strikes, traffic congestion, pandemics, vehicle breakdown, or supplier shortages).

20. Third-Party Links & Subcontractors

20.1 We may use subcontractors or agents to perform parts of the Services. Where this occurs we will remain responsible for the performance of the Services.

20.2 Where we refer you to third-party services (for example, recovery operators), we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

21. Termination

21.1 We may terminate or suspend the provision of Services where you fail to pay for completed work, where you breach these Terms, or where continued performance would be unsafe or illegal.

21.2 Termination does not affect any accrued rights or liabilities.

22. Amendments to Terms

22.1 We may amend these Terms from time to time. The version published on our website is the current version. Where changes materially affect existing Bookings, we will notify you using the contact details you provided at Booking.

23. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

23.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. The courts of England & Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
